Meet Rachel Andrew
Rachel Andrew founded edgeofmyseat.com in September 2001. Rachel has over 10 years experience as a web developer, being skilled in a large number of server-side languages; front-end development in CSS, (X)HTML and JavaScript; database design, development and administration; and technical project management.
The Web Standards Project
Rachel is a member of The Web Standards Project, serving on the Dreamweaver Task Force, pushing for better support for web standards in the popular visual editing environment that is Macromedia Dreamweaver. There are a variety of articles on this site which aim to help users comply with standards when using Dreamweaver.
Writing
Rachel is a published author of a number of books about web development, her most recent book being The CSS Anthology (2nd edition). Some of her work is listed on this site or you can check out her personal website at rachelandrew.co.uk.
Dim and distant past
Prior to founding edgeofmyseat.com Rachel has worked as a programmer, technical project manager, technical team leader/senior developer and webmaster. In the even more dim and distant past Rachel trained as a dancer and singer and has also worked as a theatre technician, backstage in London's West End.
